What changes how you build them
- Six are named in EA's own text: Devaronian, Human, Mirialan, Togruta, Twi'lek and Zabrak.
- EA name three more as Custom-Operator-only: Neimoidian, Ovissian and Weequay.
- A previewer working through the character creator saw Rodian as well — and two other previewers played or lost a Rodian squadmate, so it is real. That makes ten.
- Clones appear in the creator as a selectable type of their own, unlocking later in the story.
- Species and faction do not provide superior weapon proficiency, so species is a roleplay choice rather than an optimization one.
- Hawks is limited to the first six. The additional species are for recruited Operators.
- The choice is not permanent for Hawks: species and appearance can be changed later at the Den.
- Each species has its own options — horn variants, lekku styles and markings, antennae, face markings, skin palettes. Weequay have the fewest.
Specializations
Recommended Specializations
No build advice yet — deliberately
Custom Operator species’s kit has not been officially published. Publishing a recommended Specialization now would mean guessing, so this section stays empty until a source names their abilities. It will be filled in as soon as that happens.
Open questions
Points the shipped game has not yet answered for us, or that need a controlled comparison to state as fact — recorded rather than guessed at.
- Whether ten is the full list. EA introduce their six with 'such as', and the creator was only shown at the start of a campaign.
- Whether 'Clone' is a species in the game's own terms or a separate track.
- Whether species carries any non-combat effect at all.
- Whether more species unlock later in the campaign — the previewer who catalogued the creator says explicitly that he was only showing the starting set.
