Build data and gameplay updates

Every change to this site's data, dated and sourced. When a reveal or a patch changes a mechanic, the affected pages are listed here so you can see exactly what moved.

  1. Site launched with all pre-release confirmed data entered

Every officially confirmed mechanic, Specialization, Operator and ability available before release has been entered as structured data with sources attached. Nine build pages are published, of which four are built on confirmed synergies and five are labelled theorycraft.

    What changed

    • Eight standard Specializations entered from official role descriptions, each with an explicit list of what is still unknown.
    • Seven authored Operators entered. Jae Mordant deliberately has no build recommendations, because her kit has not been published.
    • Seven confirmed named abilities entered: Combat Stim, Identify Weakness, Force Push, Uppercut, Morale Boost, the Soldier rocket attack, and Hawks' AP support.
    • Twelve mechanics guides published covering Action Points, Advantage, Overwatch, cover, high ground, Injuries and permadeath, Call for Backup, Bonds, Cross Training, Focus Trees, dual Specializations and Talents.
    • The Squad Builder ships with the rules-based synergy engine and the nine-dimension squad evaluation, both built only from confirmed mechanics.

    Still unknown

    • The complete ability kit for every standard Specialization.
    • Exact AP and Advantage costs for all abilities and weapons.
    • Complete weapon statistics, range rules, accuracy curves and mod slot progression.
    • Full Focus Trees, ranks, prerequisites and Focus Point costs.
    • All Utilities, effects, Specialization restrictions and acquisition sources.
    • All Cross Training bonuses and maximum-Bond passives.
    • Whether every primary and secondary Specialization combination is legal.
    • Exact character base stats and scaling.
    • Difficulty modifiers, enemy stat variants and mission-specific constraints.

Corrections change the database, not just the page

Every fact on this site lives in one place and is rendered everywhere it is relevant. Correcting a mechanic updates the guide, the class pages, the builds that cite it and the Squad Builder’s rules at the same time.
