What changes how you build them
- Unique Jedi identity with no equivalent among Custom Operators. Her class is one of the exotic ones, restricted to her, and she is the only Operator who cannot change Specialization at all.
- Where the other companions take a second Specialization once dual Specializations unlock, she invests in three abilities of her own instead: Force Pull, which drags enemies towards her for 12 damage; Lightsaber Throw, a second Ultimate at 10 Advantage that deals 10 damage in a line and consumes all Harmony for up to 8 more per stack; and Elegant Weapon, a passive raising lightsaber critical chance and critical damage.
- Force Push pushes enemies and can remove them from cover. Its final rank also Disorients the target, cutting their chance to hit by 20%, so a survivor is still degraded.
- Shockwave pushes every nearby enemy at once, which strips a whole group's cover and can kill by displacement alone.
- Noble Stance consumes all remaining Action Points and adds 10% deflection for each one spent. Shots it deflects are reflected back at the enemy who fired them.
- Her fixed Talent is Strong with the Force: she begins every turn holding Harmony stacks — up to six at the highest rank — each worth 4% deflection and 4 lightsaber damage.
- Harmony is a per-turn allowance rather than something that accumulates across a fight, so she is at full strength from turn one and waiting does not make her stronger.
- The arithmetic stacks up fast: Padawan Training gives a 30% base deflection, six Harmony takes it to 54%, and a full three Action Points into Noble Stance reaches roughly 84% against fire from the direction she is facing.
- Lightsaber Strike consumes three Harmony per swing and gains 4 damage per stack held, which makes deflection and damage the same currency — every strike is protection sold for damage. A previewer calls it the hardest-hitting melee attack available without any investment.
- Padawan Training's ranks do not raise the 30% base. They give a metre of movement (which applies to each of up to three moves a turn), then 10% melee critical chance, then the second and third Force Meditation slots.
- She equips Force Meditations where everyone else equips Utilities — one slot rising to three. Three were available in the preview: one recovering 8 health at the start of the turn, one adding 10% deflection, and one granting an extra Harmony stack.
- Shockwave costs 6 Advantage, and its final upgrade grants Harmony per enemy hit. It was the only published route past the six she starts a turn with until Patch 1.1 named a second: the Droid Dismantler, a Utility, grants Harmony on a Droid death. One is the last node of her Ultimate's ladder and works against anything; the other is an equipment slot and works against droids.
- Her Force attacks take the Ranged Damage Cross Training once from Patch 1.1, where they had been taking it twice, and accept Critical Damage bonuses, which they previously did not. The second is the one that opens build space: critical investment on her was dead weight in the launch build and is not now, and Padawan Training's third rank already buys +10% Melee Critical Chance to compound with.
- Like all Jedi she can jump vertically without ladders or climbing points.
- A Tognath, with the cybernetic augmentations and breathing apparatus the species requires. She joined Zero Company to honour her fallen Master.
- A lightsaber throw and a pull ability are described as unlocking later.
- Permadeath can remove access to her permanently.
Unique abilities
Abilities only Tel-Rea Vokoss has
Force Push
ConfirmedLaunches a targeted enemy in a direction, dealing extra damage for every object they collide with on the way, or killing them outright if they go off a ledge. Ranks raise the base damage, and the final rank also Disorients the target, cutting its chance to hit by 20%. It deals Force Damage, and Patch 1.1 settles how that scales: the Ranged Damage Cross Training applies to it once rather than twice, and Critical Damage bonuses apply to it at all, which they did not before.
Build value: Displacement does two jobs at once: it strips the cover bonus that reduces your hit chance, and it can move an enemy into a prepared Overwatch cone or into environmental danger. The final rank adds a third, and it is the one that changes how the ability is used — a Disoriented survivor is a degraded attacker, so the push is worth taking even when the terrain offers nothing to smash them into. That makes it reliable in open maps, where displacement abilities usually are not. **Patch 1.1 changed what an investment in her is worth, in both directions.** Her Force attacks were taking the Ranged Combat Drills bonus twice and now take it once, so a Tel-Rea whose Bonds bought that training repeatedly hits for less than she did on 8 September. Against that, Critical Damage bonuses now apply where they previously did nothing — which turns Precision Shooting Games from a wasted Cross Training on her pairs into a live one, and gives a critical-damage Weapon Mod a reason to exist beside a lightsaber. Her Padawan Training also buys +10% Melee Critical Chance, so there is now a chance and a severity to compound on the same Operator.
Shockwave
Retail-reportedFor 6 Advantage, an area Force push that displaces all enemies around her simultaneously and throws them a long way back. One observed use scattered three droids and killed two more enemies outright by pushing them into hazards. Its final upgrade grants Harmony for every enemy hit. Like her other Force attack it takes the Ranged Damage Cross Training once from Patch 1.1, and accepts Critical Damage bonuses, which it did not before.
Build value: Mass displacement is worth more here than its damage suggests: it strips cover from a group, can push several enemies into prepared Overwatch cones at once, and forced movement damages a droideka through its shield. The upgraded version is also the only route past the six Harmony she starts a turn with, which turns it from a panic button into the way a big turn is funded — hit several enemies, bank the Harmony, and spend it on Lightsaber Strikes at 4 damage a stack. At 6 Advantage it competes directly with the rest of the squad for the pool, and it is repeatable as long as the pool holds. Two Patch 1.1 changes meet on this ability. Her Force attacks now accept Critical Damage bonuses, which makes the biggest of them the natural place for that investment to land. And the sixth tier is no longer the only route past her six-Harmony ceiling: the Droid Dismantler grants Harmony on a Droid death, which against Separatists is a second tap that costs no Advantage at all. That does not make the node cheap, but it does mean a Tel-Rea fighting droids is not waiting on it.
Noble Stance
Preview-reportedA directional deflection shield that you aim, like an Overwatch cone. It consumes all remaining Action Points and adds 10% deflection for each one spent, on top of the 30% base from Padawan Training and 4% per Harmony stack. Shots it deflects are reflected back at the enemy who fired them.
Build value: The only ability whose strength scales with AP invested rather than costing a fixed amount, which makes it a genuine end-of-turn decision: leftover points become survivability instead of being wasted. The full stack is large — 30% base, 24% from six Harmony, 30% from three Action Points — reaching roughly 84% against fire from the direction she faces, and reflecting what it stops. That converts the enemy turn into damage, so aim the cone at the largest group rather than the most dangerous one. It is still a probability rather than a wall: a previewer was hit through a well-funded stance. The real cost is the opportunity one, because the Action Points it eats are the same ones a Lightsaber Strike wanted.
Padawan Training
Retail-reportedAllows Tel-Rea to deflect blaster attacks at all and sets the base chance she does it with — +30% at the first rank. Later ranks add +1.0m Movement, +10% Melee Critical Chance, and the second and third Meditation slots.
Build value: The row that decides what the rest of her is worth, because everything else adds to it: Strong with the Force's Harmony is +4% a stack and Noble Stance is +10% an Action Point, and both are percentages on top of what this passive supplies. Take nothing here and those two are building on a floor of nothing. What makes it awkward to price is that its five ranks buy five unrelated things rather than one thing five times — a Meditation slot is not more of a deflection percentage — so this is the one row in the game where a reader has to know what the fourth and fifth ranks are before deciding whether to stop at the third.
Move With The Force
Retail-reportedTel-Rea can execute Vertical Jumps without climbing or using a ladder. It has no Focus Tree row.
Build value: Free vertical movement is worth more than it sounds in a game where high ground is a hit-chance bonus and a climb is Action Points. It is also the quiet reason she and Cly Kullervo play more alike than their kits suggest: Mandalorian Armor Training grants the same free vertical transitions through a jetpack, so both of them reach the roof the squad's Sharpshooter is still climbing towards. Nothing is invested here — it is on from the first mission and never improves — so it belongs in the plan rather than in the budget.
Specializations
Recommended Specializations
No build advice yet — deliberately
Tel-Rea Vokoss’s kit has not been officially published. Publishing a recommended Specialization now would mean guessing, so this section stays empty until a source names their abilities. It will be filled in as soon as that happens.
Bonds
Confirmed Very High Bond pairings
Each of these is required by a pre-release trophy, so the pairing is evidenced to reach the top tier. A pairing that is not listed is unknown, not impossible.

Availability and permadeath
Losing this Operator has consequences
Permadeath is enabled by default. If she dies permanently, the confirmed displacement tools remaining are Kabb Uppercut's Uppercut, Cly Kullervo's Combat Jump, and the Assault's Bull Rush — which, being a class ability, is the one that cannot be lost. She makes no Specialization recommendation and never will — not because she has none, but because both of hers are fixed. She is a Jedi Padawan, and at dual Specialization the game gives her a second band, Wayseeker, already padlocked: Force Pull, Lightsaber Throw and Elegant Weapon arrive rather than a choice. None of the eight is ever offered to her. The Squad Builder shows the exotic class in place of the picker for exactly this reason.
Open questions
Points the shipped game has not yet answered for us, or that need a controlled comparison to state as fact — recorded rather than guessed at.
- Force Push's AP or Advantage cost, range and push distance. A cost of 6 Advantage circulates widely but traces only to fan sites, so it is not recorded here.
- Shockwave's radius, and how much Harmony its final upgrade grants per enemy.
- How much Harmony a Droid Dismantler kill grants, and whether the Operator carrying it or Tel-Rea receives it. The patch establishes the trigger and prints no figure and no holder.
- What a point of Ranged Damage or Critical Damage is actually worth on a Force attack. Patch 1.1 settles that both apply and neither it nor any guide gives a number.
- How much damage a reflected shot deals.
- How many Harmony stacks she starts with at the ranks below the highest.
- Whether unspent Harmony carries into the next turn or is simply replaced, and whether stacks are lost when she takes damage.
- How her lightsaber attack is modelled — whether it is a weapon in the site's sense or a separate system.
- Whether any Force Meditations beyond the three seen in the preview exist, and what they do.
- Whether the deflection chance is capped below 100%.

- STAR WARS Zero Company — Patch 1.1 Notes
Electronic Arts · Tier 1 — Official · accessed 14 September 2026
Supports: Published 9 September 2026, the first post-launch patch; re-read in full on 14 September 2026, when it was still the newest entry on EA's News & Updates page. **Every item below is listed by EA under bug fixes**, which is what makes each one a statement about 1.0 as well as about 1.1. Secondary Specializations: their passive Cross Trainings "now correctly enter the selection pool at Relationship +8", and Secondary Specializations "now count for Specialization-specific Operation requirements and results". Chance-to-Hit: attacks displayed at 100% "can no longer erroneously miss". Scattergun: Tiers II, III and IV "no longer incorrectly use Tier I values". Droid Dismantler: Harmony "is granted only on Droid deaths, not on every enemy death". Tel-Rea: the Ranged Damage Cross Training bonus "is now applied once rather than twice" to her Force attacks, and Critical Damage bonuses "now correctly apply" to them. DC-17m Anti-Armor: it "can now critically hit" and "receives damage bonuses that apply to grenades". Ion Blasters "no longer double Critical Damage". Sweeping Salvo: "enemies outside the targeting cone are no longer hit". A Life of Labor II "can no longer infinitely accumulate bonuses when purchased repeatedly". Immovable: the status "now provides its intended bonuses". Bacta Tank, missed on the first read and added 14 September: "Fixed an issue where the Bacta Tank could be used more than one in a cycle" — EA's wording, typo included; the intended rule is one use per cycle. Overwatch, three lines, quoted verbatim on 14 September because the first pass had paraphrased the first of them too loosely: "Fixed an issue where Overwatch shots triggered against attackers caused the enemies to fire through solid objects at Operators they couldn't see" — an enemy-side line-of-sight failure, not the player's reaction shots passing through walls; "Fixed some instances of Overwatch triggering on a unit outside of the targeting cone"; and "Fixed various Overwatch issues that caused enemies and Operators to be unintentionally attacked". A fourth mentions it in passing: "Fixed a turn ordering issue that caused the Coil Captain to heal a target already slain by Overwatch". **Checked for and absent**: any figure for anything — no Scattergun tier statistics, no Harmony amount, no DC-17m damage, no figure for what Immovable now provides, no Bacta Tank cost. Also absent: any fix for Overwatch *failing* to trigger. Every Overwatch line corrects a shot that should not have happened, and none claims a shot that should have happened now does.
