The short answer

Yes. Wearing a clone helmet applies the voice filter.

In full

What that means when you are planning

That is why the alien restriction matters more than it first appears. Aliens cannot wear the helmets — a Twi'lek's lekku and a Weequay's head shape rule them out — so those Operators wear the armour set without its helmet, and keep their own voices with it.

The armour slots are helmet, body, gloves and lower body, and pieces can be mixed across sets. Boots are fixed to the model. Standard armour has three colour channels; ARC Trooper armour, from the Deluxe edition, has four.

What we don't know yet

The game has not been released. These are open questions we have chosen not to guess at.

  • Which alien species can wear which helmets — one previewer confirmed the limit for a Weequay and inferred the rest.
  • How many armour pieces there are in total.
