The short answer
A Mandalorian of Clan Verminoth who joins Zero Company for revenge — and despite EA calling her a gunslinger, her class is Mandalorian Warrior.
In full
What that means when you are planning
She is human, and one of the last surviving members of the ancient Clan Verminoth. The naming is the trap: EA's own description calls her "a Mandalorian gunslinger", and Gunslinger is one of the eight Specializations — but hers is the exotic Mandalorian Warrior class, exclusive to her, and "gunslinger" there is flavour. She cannot change it, though she can add any of the eight as a secondary once dual Specializations unlock — Gunslinger included, which is how the flavour and the mechanics can meet in the end.
Her Mandalorian armour gives +3 base Defense, blocking 3 damage from every hit where an ordinary Defense value is 2, and her jetpack makes vertical movement free. Combat Jump, her fixed Talent, costs 2 Advantage and no Action Point and provokes neither Overwatch nor retaliation.
Her fixed Talent is Combat Jump: a jetpack leap that pushes enemies out of position and applies Burn, with ranks raising the range and the Burn stacks. The jetpack cannot be unequipped. That single action covers mobility, displacement and damage over time — more roles than any other Talent — and the landing strips cover from whatever it scatters.
A previewer describes her tagging several enemies with electrified darts and then electrocuting them all at once, and calls her very Advantage-hungry; pairing her with a Scout produced battlefield-clearing turns. She joins late, and previewers say she and the Padawan are the two companions that force a rethink of squad composition.
What we don't know yet
The game has not been released. These are open questions we have chosen not to guess at.
- Combat Jump's cost, range and displacement radius.
- What the darts and the electrocution cost, and whether the electrocution requires the darts.
- Whether her Mandalorian armour carries any mechanical effect.
