The short answer

At least five have been seen: Defense, Burning, Spotted, Disoriented and Invulnerability.

In full

What that means when you are planning

Defense reduces every incoming attack by a flat amount, which makes it worth more against many small hits than against one large one. Burning stacks and deals damage each turn — and it affects your own Operators too, so a fire bomb is not a free area denial.

Spotted comes from a Scout's attacks and removes range and smoke hit-chance penalties against the target. Disoriented comes from Sweeping Salvo and lowers enemy accuracy. Invulnerability comes from the Grit Talent in stacks, where one stack absorbs one attack in full.

None of these has a published duration or magnitude, and all of it comes from preview footage rather than from official documentation — so treat the list as a floor rather than a complete set.

What we don't know yet

The game has not been released. These are open questions we have chosen not to guess at.

  • Durations and magnitudes for every effect listed.
  • Whether this is the complete set — it is what appeared in a capped preview build.
