Build value
What this Talent is actually for
Two Advantage is the cheapest purchase in the game, and because it costs no Action Point it is free damage bolted onto a turn that was already full. Explosive objects are on essentially every map, so it rarely has nothing to hit. Its ceiling is set by the maps rather than the Talent: unlimited uses only matter where there are enough objects to be worth detonating, and there usually are not.
Pairings
Specializations it combines with
A Talent is chosen separately from a class, so these are combinations you assemble yourself rather than anything the game groups for you.
- Scout
Combat Recon banks Advantage faster than any other source, and 2 per detonation is the cheapest thing in the game to spend it on.
- Soldier
Both answer grouped enemies with area damage, and Sabotage covers the turns when Rocket Strike's cost is out of reach.
- Heavy
Bulwark gathers enemies into one area; an explosive object inside that area becomes a second area attack for 2 Advantage.
What we don't know yet
The game has not been released. These are open questions we have chosen not to guess at.
- The uses per combat at the middle rank.
- How much damage a detonated object does, and whether it varies by object.
- Whether detonation can be triggered outside line of sight.
